behind the frequency

Brianna Lauré grew up in a family guided by sound — her grandfather and father on drums, her mother and grandmother at the keys. With little formal training but an intuitive ear, she began composing solo piano pieces as a child, drawn to music as the language of emotion when words could not suffice. 

In 2000, she discovered the late pianist Dax Johnson, whose unguarded honesty at the piano revealed that music could hold the full weight of human experience. His influence became a lifelong touchstone — a reminder that vulnerability is its own kind of strength.

Her own compositions became a diary of the soul, tracing light and shadow, loss and renewal, silence and return. Through every season, she found her way back to the piano — translating life’s movements into sound. Writing and poetry followed, each another way of mapping the inner landscape of becoming.

Today, she shares these creations through The Creative Native, opening what was once private into a gift for others. At the heart of her story is love: a journey she calls her most profound discovery —  “The greatest love story of all time is the one where I found God.”  Her work — in both music and words — stands as an offering and a bridge: a legacy of healing, remembrance, and devotion.
